Terms & disclaimer

Short version: this is a free helper that generates dataLayer code and documentation templates. Always review and test the output before using it in production. It is provided as-is, with no warranty, and is not affiliated with Google.
The tool generates templates
DataLayer Spec produces example dataLayer.push(...) snippets, documentation, and server-side request bodies based on the options you select. This output is a starting point, not a finished implementation. CMS themes, frameworks, and data sources vary, so generated code typically needs adaptation. You are responsible for reviewing, testing, and validating anything you take from the tool before deploying it.
No warranty
The tool and its output are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy. To the fullest extent permitted by law, New North Digital is not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of the tool or its output, including incorrect tracking, lost data, or lost revenue.
Acceptable use
Use the tool for its intended purpose. Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer for abuse, or misuse the service.
Trademarks
“Google”, “Google Analytics”, “GA4”, and “Google Tag Manager” are trademarks of Google LLC. DataLayer Spec is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google. Other product names are trademarks of their respective owners.
